Ministries with Young People

After the Children’s Message in Worship on Sunday mornings, our young ones (3 years old through 2nd grade) leave to go to Children’s Church. Led by Safe Sanctuaries approved volunteers, activities are designed to be fun and engaging, aiming to help kids build their own relationship with God through learning about God's word and connecting with Jesus.

The Crew meets monthly in the fall, winter, and spring with 2nd through 5th graders.  We gather for a fun snack and silly games with a faith-filled lesson (often involving guests).  Kids are taught to develop and deepen their understanding of God's word and its application to their lives.

Nursery is provided during Sunday School and Worship for our youngest Main Streeters, ages birth through 3.  Care is provided by Safe Sanctuaries vetted volunteers.

Each Sunday morning, we have three classes for young people at Main Street to encourage faith development by providing in-depth and age-appropriate teaching about the Bible, Christian principles, and the life of Jesus.  Sunday School does not meet during the summer months.

VBS is a wild few days of learning about Jesus and what it means to follow Him.  Join us this year on June 7-10, 2026 for Kingdom Quest: An Epic Journey to Discover God’s Kingdom.  Registration will be available in the Spring.

Meeting weekly, preschool and elementary students gather to devote time to preparing for seasonal musicals, special songs during worship, practice handbells, and to learn about the importance of worship and different ways to do it.

The Youth Group at Main Street involves middle school and high school students.  We create an environment for building meaningful friendships and a sense of belonging packaged with a focus on discipleship.

Confirmation occurs every few years and it’s the process by which young people are invited to claim the name of Christ, profess Jesus, and officially join the church.
