What We Believe

As a Global Methodist Congregation, Main Street Methodist Church is a fellowship of believers grounded in “the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints” (Jude 4).  This is faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, contained in the authoritative Word of God we call the Bible, and transmitted and applied to the hearts of individuals by the indwelling Holy Spirit.  It is the faith that was expressed in the historic confessions of the early church known as the Apostles Creed and the Nicene Creed.  As part of the Methodist movement within the Christian faith, we do adhere to the Book of Doctrines and Disciplines of the Global Methodist Church, which we would invite you to explore.  This is the means by which we order our life, worship, and ministry, but we are first and foremost followers of Jesus Christ, putting our whole trust (for this life and the next) in his free and amazing grace.
